The Muggins United crest used throughout  is a contemporary interpretation of Muggins United official crest and was specially created for this publication to avoid copyright problems.

Original crest designed in 1869 by Frank Exchange. This by Jonas Ranson, internationally known artist.

The best part of the Muggins United team 1935. The initials on the ball is those of the Ripley Watercolour Society Association who loaned Muggins United the ball some years earlier. All these people are dead now so the possibility of it’s return is remote. The player third from the left, back row, although the quiff is his own that he appears to be sporting Rastafarian type locks is a trick of the light.

WITH GRATITUDE TO

Muggins Town Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Delgander and the board of Muggins United.  Lord Henry Gertcher.

Muggins United 1896 The team just a few years before becoming professional.

The crowded stands indicate either that the team is at an away game or that all the supporters have all moved round to be in camera shot.
